For the last few months, I’ve been wearing the exact same daily eyeshadow look week days. Boring, I know! But I’ve found a combination of products that creates a pretty, neutral look, and seriously lasts allllllll day. Those two products I’ve been reaching for daily are Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in “Sin” and Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow in “Bad to the Bronze”.
“Sin” is a shimmery, champagne version of the original nude Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer, that can actually be worn by itself for a sheer, champagne eyeshadow look, or used as a primer for shimmery eyeshadows. Like the cult favourite original version, “Sin” makes a huge difference in eyeshadow longevity. Maybelline’s Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadows are definitely great budget buy cream eyeshadows, as they are super creamy, blendable, easy to apply, and last for hours and hours. I just wish they would come out with some more wearable shades. “Bad to the Bronze” is a neutral, metallic bronzey brown that you can apply sheer or make more opaque by layering.
I apply “Sin” on my eyelids with my fingers, and let it dry for a couple of minutes. I then apply “Bad to the Bronze” over my entire eyelid, also with my fingers, and then blend it up and out a little with a different finger. Add some mascara (below I’m wearing Mary Kay Waterproof Mascara), and some highlighter to the inner corner of your eye if you have time (below is The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer), and that’s it! This combo stays put for about 10 hours, and will not crease that whole time. I think it’s a really pretty, versatile eye makeup look that is work appropriate but not boring (if you’re ok with daytime shimmer- I obviously am), and it’s a huge plus that it lasts all day! Are there any makeup products or easy combinations you’ve been defaulting to every day?
